Noel Fontanoz - Keyboards

Growing up in a musical family, Noel Fontanoz learned to play the piano at an early age with his father instilling a lifelong habit of daily practice and his mother directing the choir of their local church.  During his college years at San Francisco State University, Noel incorporated the saxophone, clarinet, drums and bass guitar into his musical repertoire.  Currently the Director of  Music at the Wayside Methodist Church in Vallejo, past studio credits include "Con Funk Shun".

Larry Baines - I have been playing guitar since I was in the eighth grade, which is a lot of years. I have played in quite a few bands over the years. I studied under Don Morrison and Justin Garns both outstanding guitarist and guitar instructors. My main influence is the blues and rock as well as any music that is challenging, fun and crowd pleasing. With the right musicians, you can make magic ant that’s what its all about for me.

Milton Mcgriff - Percussionist

As a percussionist , Milton McGriff enjoys performing the captivating songs that motivate people to shuffle to the dance floor and groove to the sounds of bands such as Maze, Kool & the Gang, War and Santana.  Self-taught at the impressionable age of 16, Milton honed his skills through listening to and observing the great Latin congo masters of his day.

Pete Monillas - Bass

Music has always been my passion, all kinds… and being influenced by the “Beatles,” Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Smoky Robinson, Jr. Walker, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and the like…… I love it!! I still today have my first bass guitar a 1965 Hofner Beatle Violin Bass.  I am part of the 60’s Bay Area Garage Band experience. Entertaining and performing is an art that I respect and love.  It is fun and exciting to be in the Cali Groove Association Band.  I joined the band with the intention of being part of a team of other musical aficionados with the same like-mind to play music, have fun and perform for people instrumentally and vocally. We specialize in “Classic R &B/Soul/Funk” with Dance and Listening music of the best of the years that Rock and Roll, Rhythm & Blues & Soul Music has given the world… starting in the 50’s all the way to the Disco era and just beyond.

We want to play for you, so just say the word and we’ll be on your bandstand playing music that you can “Do theTwist, the Jerk and Mashed Potato too!  Any old dance that you want to do.”  Not to mention Do the Pony, The Bristol Stomp, The Swim, The Stroll, The Worm, The Bird and even the “Funky Chicken.”  Let’s just have fun!!  See ya on the dance floor!!

The Stewart Brothers -

Ajamu, Alex and Shawn Stewart hail originally from Vallejo, California.  Their brotherly vocal collaboration dates back to the culturally rich and musically innovative 60's and 70's when they honed their vocal skills-individually and collectively - through replicating original arrangements and innovating new interpretations of the classics by the Persuasions, the Temptations, the O'Jays, the Isley Brothers, Marvin, Smokey, Stevie and more. Together, they represent a solid 40 plus years of harmonizing together.
